Heading with glee thankfulness our 60's, I am married, a mother, a teacher of Bible History, (and all subjects biblical, actually)and a missionary/housewife. Actually, housewife is my least successful role, to date, but I have been giving it a go nearly 21 years and maybe I'll get it right before we pack it off to the retirement village...
I am a vibrant Christian with an eclectic past--(20 years a devout Roman Catholic, 20 years in a Baptist Charismatic Church,( and in Thailand we w part of a congregation of missionaries from 27 nations and just as many denominations.)After high school, went to Penn State. Went to Bible school and traveled the globe as a single missionary. Married my gorgeous husband in 87 and we continued the adventure together. Had a son, joy of my heart, in 91. Moved to Northeast Scotland, pastored youth togeher for 5 glorious and challenging years in a fishing village.
We lived in Thailand as a family for 11 years, then on our own as Josiah went to university, for 4 more years. In 2014 we were led by the Lord to move our base of operations back to Pittsburgh, while still working in Southeast Asia. In 2015 I was diagnosed with cancer, underwent treatments and surgeries and finally in the summer of 2016 I can very thankfully say that I am cancer free. the midst of mid life everything and hot flashes int he tropics have learned to read, write and speak an Asian tonal language.I can definately confirm that God is a faithful Father. Sometimes I feel as if I have lived about 5 lifetime in one---and that is so far!!!
